Sacchan Talks about Various Things #6
Jul. 5th, 2016 09:31 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I've been subbing so much I stopped posting these! Apparently the last time I posted one of these rants/posts (with the same title) was last year in August! I still ranted after that but not in the same sort of format, lol. Not that it matters or anything. These posts are like my week-in-GIF post but with more writing and less gifs and pictures I captured myself.
BUT ANYWAY FIRST OFF! It's Eid tomorrow where I'm at so Eid Mubarak to those of you that celebrate it.
Now lemme get to talking about the recent things I've encountered in this rollercoaster ride we call life. This post consists of a rant about life, the Steam Summer Sale, Gomen ne Seishun!, Crows Explode, and the birth of Sacchan. LOL. It's long. You have been warned.

I'm currently on my long-ass end-of-semester holiday and so far it's not looking like a very productive holiday... Well. It depends on how you look at it, since I did sub a ton of shit which was great but real-life wise I just sit in front of a computer which doesn't sit well with my family especially my mother hahaha. She knows that I sub things but she still thinks it isn't very productive of me which I kinda sorta agree with, to an extent... I guess... I mean... I usually spend my holiday doing other stuff away from the screen, like reading a book or making ship models. And especially in this time of year I usually bake a shit ton of cookies or cook something else but this year I'm just not feeling any of those things. Every time I wake up in the morning most of the time I just sleep in and wake up at like nine then spend hours on bed just watching YouTube videos or reading mangas on my phone. Then I wake up and shower and watch some more stuff on my laptop... Then when I'm feeling slightly productive I sub something, upload that, then spend the rest of the day playing games(and by games I honestly just mean Borderlands 2). It's a super unhealthy sedentary lifestyle that I'm currently trying to overcome and change.
I am improving slightly though. I filmed a model-building video yesterday and today I got 25% of this pepakura project I'm doing done. I also cleaned my room up a bit and reorganized. Which was very dope. Hopefully I can keep this up, haha.

Speaking of Borderlands 2. I GOT THE GAME ON STEAM FOR REAL WOOP WOOP. Thank god for the Steam Summer Sale.

If any of you play (which I seriously doubt but am still hoping someone does deep down) or use Steam add me up here!
I honestly made a Steam account years ago for this free game I forgot the title of, but I never got to playing or using it, hahaha... Most people I know use it to play DoTA 2 or RPG games and the likes but I never learned how to play those games so I never bothered giving it a go. So technically I only started using my Steam account this year when I bought Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition, Mini Ninjas, and Borderlands 2 GOTY Edition.
Those three games that I bought are games I absolutely love and adore and have already played before. Because... Just like mangas, I like having things I really like on hand.
I've been playing around in Sleeping Dogs for a while but never finished the story mode yet on Steam... It's honestly a great game that I wish had more stuff in it hahaha I yearn for more Sleeping Dogs. If you haven't played it it's like an Asian version of GTA, set in Hong Kong, with Chinese triads instead of gangs, and is a thousand times more dramatic and exciting. I think I've talked about Sleeping Dogs a million times before but I just can't stop hahaha. The Definitive Edition is so dope if you've played the regular edition before and is a fan of the game, you'll notice the differences in graphics and details and it's just astonishing and so very enjoyable heheh.
I personally finished the game twice on the regular edition hue.
As for Borderlands 2... I had a not-so-original version on my now-fried Xbox 360 and a level-32 Siren on the PS3 which I've spent hours and hours on but have finished the story mode and nearly all of the side missions (or the ones in Sanctuary at least)... I had terrible Borderlands 2 withdrawals and I needed more so when I got my new laptop I downloaded the DLCs and all that and played the game again from scratch...
But then the Steam Summer Sale came along and wooed me into buying the original game. Thankfully I could just reload my save and start from around level 10 (which was how far I've gotten on the PC), but without the achievements, of course. Which was fine by me. I've kinda been playing one mission a day since then hahahaha.
---

---I'm honestly so emotionally attached to this game I'm not even that good at it I just love playing it so much it gives me so much happiness hahahahahhaha. And just to point this out, I'm not those hardcore people that do speedruns and have OP levels and all that, I'm totally just a casual noob that just loves the game.
ALSO since I bought the original game I could finally actually use shift codes and get a bunch of skeleton keys!! Other than that I feel like it's also easier to find rare items(though I don't think I have a legendary item just yet)

Okay now I'm just ranting about a single thing hahahahaha.
OTHER THING OTHER THING
It's not exactly recent but it's about a few weeks ago so I guess that counts.
I rewatched the last two episodes of Gomen ne Seishun! when I heard that Nagase was going to perform Itta Janai Ka together with Kanjani8 in KanJAM... And dude did that bring back so many memories.
Back when I was in High School I often watched dramas at school and one of them was the 2014 GTO and Gomen ne Seishun!. I so totally watched it whilst experiencing my own Seishun so it was verrryyyyy something... to me. And if you know me you know I don't go well with love triangles but I loved every single complicated relationship they had in Gomen ne Seishun. Amongst all the drama Itta Janai Ka just fitted and clicked so well and I loved that song for it. And honestly back then the only thing I knew about Kanjani was from the time they guested in Shiyagare and about that rumour going around about Ryo's scandal hahaha.
When I rewatched the second last (I think?) episode where Hara-sensei had this roof-scene with Hachiya-sensei I was super duper moved and it made me tear up a bit haha. Afterwards I also thought that Mitsushima Hikari was an absolutely BRILLIANT actress. Additional info but she's apparently going out with Nagayama Kento? Who plays Satoshi. It's always so strange to think about actors' and actresses' relationships and their characters hahaha.

These are kinda tumblr-worthy I think.
---Oh and I also continued watching DRRR!!, though like everything else I do in my life, I haven't finished that quite yet either. It's too overwhelming and nostalgic.
DRRR!! was the anime that got me into Dollars and online chatrooms and forums... And those online chatrooms and forums were what led to the birth of "Sacchan" even though I used to go by "Acchan" at first. I ended up administrating this facebook page for otakus and such then I branched out to Arashi from there and it all grew and grew until I decided to give subbing a go without any prior experience.
And tbh the thing that got me into DRRR!! was a simple crush at a senior at my school who also happened to like anime and he watched it so I figured I'd give it a go.
Yes.
The trigger to the birth of Sacchan was trying to get senpai to notice me.
I've always wanted to write an entire post about that so maybe I will sometime in the future.

This was a long post. I haven't written this much and this messy in a while. It's really therapeutic.
If you read this far I salute you and this cat would like to give you a high five.

Another thing I rewatched was Crows Explode. I can't remember why but I rewatched it lol. I think it might be cause I still couldn't believe Gun-chan was in it? Idek. But I made these really neat badass gifs. I have a soft spot for bloody yankee dramas.
