Mostly Himura Hideo no Suiri and Shin Domoto Kyodai with a dash of other things and Sacchan's Yamamoto-Yusuke-jaw-fetish-revival.
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, LET'S GET TO THE EXCITEMENT!
This is going to be all over the place, but it's how I wanted it to be like, just saying. It's an organized mess, to an extent, just like my life. #deep (Oh and I used a video-to-gif-converter to make these so that's why they have the same textures)
---

A smirky Kubota Masataka before the cut cause why not. :>
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~---
Cause there are lots of Himura Hideo no Suiri (and mostly just Kubota Masataka) lemme just get those outta the way first! It's mostly just reaction gifs so it's spoiler free, rest assured.
---
Do I like him, you say? Yes I do.
---
Dat smile.
More Kubota Masataka quirkiness. (I refuse to call him Alice, I'm sorry hahaha)
---

Some much-needed cuteness. And Kubota mid-tsukkomi.
---

These are all actually from the same episode so far, I'm sorry, I was on a roll.
This isn't a proper review type thing so don't get your hopes up on the opinions XD

Aitakatta yooooooo! Those jaws!!!
On episode six, Yamamoto Yusuke made and appearance, which I totally wasn't expecting! I SQUEALED IN DELIGHT~ <3 It's been so long since I last fangirled about him and his jaws, hahahaha. I like him in natural, normal looking clothes and style the best.
What a red, striking, signboard. Much promotion, such wow.
---

He just had to turn around and properly show the mask, didn't he? Haha.
にゃああー!

---

HIS HANDS CAN'T REACH HIS SHOULDERS OMG HOW CUTE IS THAT
---

"Oh well"

"Oh well."
Oh and lastly, I watched some Kanjani Chronicle! Nishikido's segment always oddly allures me. The Love Superman segments hahaha... They're so awkward yet dokidoki at the same time? Idek.
---

"No stalking!"
His nod of approval in the end though...

To be honest, I've only seen him on here and on The Last Cop, oh and just a tiny bit on Death Note (I never got to continuing that) but in those appearances I mentioned above I loved him hehehe. Especially since his character in both The Last Cop and on here is like this quirky character that makes tsukkomis to the co-starring characters. He also speaks in Kansai-ben in this one so if you're a dialect-moe like myself, it's definitely a must watch! (More on the drama's actual story and stuff later.)
I've just realized now but all of the gifs I'm posting is of dudes I fancy. Nice. I should've titled this, "Sacchan's Taste in Actors" instead XD

SO! Here's my opinion on Rinshou Hanzai Gakusha Himura Hideo no Suiri (Not a fan of long-ass titles. Why Japanese people? Why?). I'm an avid watcher of detective shows (and some novels) so those are what I'm comparing it to, not to other Japanese dramas cause I honestly haven't watched that many, hehe. Spoilers will be properly hidden.
I used to follow SO MANY crime series, but as of now I'm only following Elementary cause the other shows I liked were all cancelled :( So when this came up on my feeds I was like... Crime? Kubota Masataka? Saito Takumi? I'll give this a go. Which I don't really do much cause watching dramas is a commitment for me and my attention span is too little to get through it all.
Like other Japanese dramas, the sense of fantasy(?) is there, as always. For me (or at least the dramas I watch), they're never that realistic, which is not a bad thing for me personally cause I watch them to escape reality after all. They're almost manga-like most of the time, and the same goes for this. I guess it's hard to mush drama and suspense together with comedy and a sense of whimsicality? There are moments where it just seemed so unrealistic but oh well it's a fictional series. The important thing is that I enjoyed it. It's a great way to pass time.
Some of the things I don't like are pretty plot-related so I'm marking it in the spoiler cut below.

I most definitely did not dig the whole propaganda organization thing (Shangri-La something? Was it?). It felt like they were just forcibly shoving it in your face. They just came out of nowhere and seemed like they serve no purpose. I've still only finished episode seven but I know for sure that that thing is going to come up in the finale, I know, I know, but it just... Wasn't introduced very smoothly. I don't see why they had to introduce it from the beginning bit by bit. I mean... A better example would be how they introduced Magata-hakase in Subete ga F ni Naru. It all just seemed to vague and too detached to the actual storyline.
Another thing, some of the people in this drama is way too naive for my taste, hahahaha. I mean, one of the main plots is that Alice is afraid that Himura might end up being a real killer and stuff, but on episode... six was it? I think, he basically explained that it's completely normal to think and dream about killing someone... That it was a normal everyday thing... Just that he didn't support/like the people that act on those thoughts and dreams. At least... That was what I understood from what he said. But then Komachi went prattling on to Nabeshima about his psycho tendencies and all and I was just like... "From that? Really?" BUT they do kinda show inconsistency in Himura-sensei's killing tendencies from time to time... He used to smirk and stuff then he stopped then he started saying weird things again...
It's probably just me. Or maybe it's just the psychological-genre reader in me that's speaking.

I had a feeling he wasn't just showing up to be a side character or just yuujin-A, and turns out I was right haha. やっぱり.

Easter eggs and cameos galore! Did I just notice, or did they only started appearing in the Orange-incident episodes?
In case you didn't get them (which I highly doubt you didn't), the signboard was a promotional sign for the drama Higanbana and the lost-dude the-character-Narimiya-Hiroki plays in Kaito Tantei Yamaneko. Oh and his detective-kouhai also appeared.
Forgive me for not remembering their names, I've only just finished episode one. And I always call Narimiya Hiroki Shinagawa-kun up till recently cause Yankee-kun to Megane-chan is one of the first and most impactful dramas I watched, haha.

When I started writing this post, I hadn't started on Yamaneko so I didn't think I'd have a gif of that in here, but I finished one episode yesterday so there. A meowing Kame.
Watching it... I could kinda felt the difference in terms of expectations and quality, and well... Funding? I don't know man. I'm just blabbering now.
What else...

I downloaded and watched a whooooleeee lot of Shin Domoto Kyodai! I watched some of the compilation episodes and there were some really interesting guests on it so I went to look for those episodes and I found torrents of them but only like two of them still had seeders *sigh*.Oh and lastly, I watched some Kanjani Chronicle! Nishikido's segment always oddly allures me. The Love Superman segments hahaha... They're so awkward yet dokidoki at the same time? Idek.

That's about it. I applaud those of you who managed to read this far. As a present, here, have a video of Andy Warhol eating a hamburger.
Heheh. My on-progress subs didn't change from the ones I last said... Haven't continued them at all. And it doesn't seem like I will cause I just downloaded some new otomeges for my PSP :>
Oh well,
See you when I see you,

Date: 2016-03-25 04:41 am (UTC)I've liked Kubota Masataka since I watched this Merengue no Kimochi with NEWS' Shige and him on it and he's just shy and adorable. (But never actually watched him in anything.)
I had basically the same reaction to seeing Yamamoto Yusuke appear in that episode of Himura (I also agree with you on the long name thing). I didn't read your spoiler bit because I'm behind.
I have also only watched one episode of Yamaneko. (I don't really know why I don't like that show better. I think maybe the character doesn't suit Kame?)
All the SDK episodes Satoh Takeru are awesome, but I find that one amusing in particular because Shiori's Australian so of course she's like, I had a blue-tongued lizard and don't mind touching slugs.
And I feel so much embarrassment whenever I watch a Love Superman. I applaud Nishikido for not dying of embarrassment every time. Lol.

Date: 2016-03-25 12:13 pm (UTC)The long titles are even worse with animes and light novels, the longest one I remember is "Omae wo Otaku ni Shiteyaru kara Ore wo Riajuu ni Shitekure" and "Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru" XD I heard/read somewhere that it was so that they'll stand out in the shelves or online, some said it was copyright... I think it just defeats the whole purpose of the title sometimes haha. It's a pet peeve of mine, but it's cool when you remember them and recite them back to other people pffft.
I also don't quite like Yamaneko as much as other people do hmmm... Now that you say it it does seem like Yamaneko is too far off from the image of Kame that I have haha. I was kinda surprised that he was this wonky of a character. But I'd say the reason I don't like it is... it looks to me like they try to hard? In regards of producing the show overally? I don't know if that even makes sense but I can't describe it hahaha.
OMG THATTTT THING WITH SHIORI I TOTALLY AGREE HAHA. When everyone was like, "You have that for a pet? You're okay with slugs?" and stuff all I could think of was, "She's so Australian._." hahahaha.

Date: 2016-03-25 10:04 pm (UTC)Gee, if you love Kubota then you have a lot of watching to do since he basically seems to be in every second dorama or movie these days ^-^.
I have only watched the first EP of "Rinshou Hanzai Gakusha Himura Hideo no Suiri" but if Yamamoto has a guest role i have to speed up watching it. I hadn´t much time lately so I concentrated on "Fragile" (Nomura Shohei is so what I need in this one ^-^). I would like to visit him in his office, lock the door and throw away the key! And the second doramas I watched regularly is "Kazuko no katachi" - love it.
Funny, I just recently watched Kubota and Saito together in a movie called "Jellyfish eyes" which is available in the USA on Blu-Ray:
https://www.criterion.com/films/28759-jellyfish-eyes
They are not the lead though - but funny to watch since they are still 4-5 years younger than now ^-^.
Sato Takeru looks really cute in your gif ^-^.
Have a great weekend!!!!
