I honestly enjoyed the 2 movies/specials. It was painful reminder that if I ever date a Japanese person to not sit in my head supposing and just say what's on my mind! I say painful because they were both actually in love with each other and could have lost it all if one of them hadn't opened up their mouths and spoke their feelings.
